We are a grouping of civil society organisations in Scotland working to open up the debate on what Scotland should look like in the future. What brings us together is our desire to ensure the discussions around the referendum are open, inclusive, and embrace new ideas and ways of thinking.
The referendum will have important consequences for all aspects of Scottish life – we want to encourage people to think about the kind of Scotland they want to see and then consider what powers Scotland would need to achieve that.
This website will host a set of shared resources, event listings, and aggregated news and opinion to help profile the spectrum of views and issues around the referendum and visions for a future Scotland.
We identified growing frustration with the inadequacy of the current debate among individuals and organisations across the country, the Future of Scotland initiative aims to open up the debate about the referendum.
We have set up Future of Scotland to open up the debate about Scotland’s constitutional future to everyone. The Future of Scotland is not in favour of any particular option and will not be campaigning for any particular outcome.
