Future of Scotland is carrying out surveys and polls to encourage people to think about the kind of Scotland they want to see.
Latest Surveys:
SCVO Members Survey (SCVO are a member of the Future of Scotland campaign grouping, and are an umbrella body for Scotland’s third sector)
SCVO’s survey of members on potential constitutional change found that our members want to see a debate that looks at all the options for the future of Scotland.
Our members also told us that the political parties have so far failed to provide enough information about their proposed constitutional settlements to allow them to make up their minds.
The survey also highlighted that many of you would like more events and policy support on issues related to constitutional change, so please keep an eye out for how SCVO will meet this need.
Key findings:
- Almost two thirds of respondents say they don’t have all the information they need about the options in the referendum
- 87% of those surveyed think we need to fully debate all the options for Scotland’s constitutional future over the next two years
- 70% think SCVO could help their organisation become more involved in the constitutional debate by providing policy support to better understand the implications of constitutional change
- There is strong support for more powers for the Scottish Parliament
